Naturally, this is not ride related, but I figured this would get the most views here.

Yesterday was a difficult day, as it's the day I decided to end my marriage of 21 years. Relationships are so much easier to put together than to dismantle, and ours will undoubtedly be challenging. Without going into tons of detail, we have been having difficulty for several years and have reached a point where there seem to be more areas of conflict than common ground, and the marriage is irretrievably broken. We've each done things to inflict pain on each other and, for the things I've done, I deeply regret them. I'm sorry also to you, my friends, for not sharing with any of you. All you saw was that I had occasionally spent time with a friend of Tracy's and if there was wondering about this, I'm sorry for not being more up front with any of you. It was inappropriate to not let you know what was going on.

Louise is a really good woman, a loving mother, a true friend to many, and has been the best wife a man could ask for for many years. I have loved her and been fortunate to have that love returned.

I've done some things wrong lately, culminating with a drunken stupor last night.....some way to mark the end of something that was once fine and nourishing. If I offended anyone last night, I assuredly don't remember it, but please accept my apology. And thanks to AcuraMatt for getting me home safely....you may have saved a number of lives last night, and I thank you so very much for caring about me.

The community I feel with all of you is invaluable to me, and I thank you for being my friends. I cannot imagine what life would be like without all of you and hope that if you have questions about any of this, you'll feel comfortable enough to ask me. You'll get straight answers. Thanks for being there for me.

Love, Brian
