Lehigh Valley Classic course preview Empty Lehigh Valley Classic course preview

Next Tuesday (June 3), the first leg of the Commerce Bank Triple Crown Series takes place in Allentown. Pro riders will race 12 laps of a 7.1-mile course down 8th Street, Lehigh Parkway, 24th Street and Hamilton Street. A bunch of lunch-riders suggested getting a sneak peek of the course before the actual race, so...

on Friday (May 30), the regular noontime lunch ride from North Street will head to Allentown to ride the circuit. Riding there, doing a lap, and back should be about the same hourish ride. But of course the streets won't be closed to traffic, so we'll likely be riding single file for large sections of the ride. Oh--and there's no feed zone either.

Here's what the course map looks like: http://www.procyclingtour.com/assets/maps/Lehigh%20Valley%20Classic_c.pdf

I'm guessing there may be people who aren't into checking out the course, so there will likely be an alternate lunch ride also.

Cant make the 'preview' ride tomorrow but have the 3rd off so can make the race- any good spots along the parkway I could pull my son in his trailer to that we could watch the race and have a picnic? Im thinking Ill park by the fly-tying shop and ride over to see the race. Thanks for any info!
